Think somebody needs to win a personality transplant!
Well done you! At last proper use of punctuation and capital letters.

Cookie, my advice to you is to just enter what you can and forget! If you receive a WEM then great and if you don't then keep on entering! You never know what is round the corner so if you don't enter to be in it then you will never win it! Comping should be any enjoyable hobby not a chore! As soon as it become a chore then it is time to reconsider how you choose to spend your 'spare time' ie move on to spend time what you really enjoy doing or onto something different.
Thanks BlueBella, it is enjoyable but i think a tad addictive0 -

Can see your spelling is no better judgenment .. think you mean judgement. Im not at school, im not sitting an exam. I can and will type as I like. For all you know i could have an impairment, could be dyslexic.. you are quick to jump on my writing style.. how about think about the bullying talk before you type and think about the effect it could have on the persons mental wellbeing...
It's my dyslexia I'm afraid with the spelling. I try with spell checker but apparently it lets me down at times.
You could think about my well being and how it feels to have yet another new comper post the same thread about how long will it be before I win etc.
You have the right to type how you feel and I have the right of reply. Isn't the internet great?
If your mental well being is going to be upset by my comments then I suggest you do not venture forth onto other areas of the board for they are veil and they will really upset you. I mean like big time upset.Rational judgement, now, at this very moment.

i use outlook and have set up my email to catch words like "competition" "winner" etc, to go into another folder. that makes it easier to spot winning emails, but some do fall through the net if they are not typical winning emails.
(i have a Masters in English, but i cannot be bothered with capitals tonight )0 -

It took me about a year to lose the 'rush' and just get on enjoying it for what it is - a hobby - one that will never give you the returns relative to effort put in (aren't many hobbies like that?). However I enjoy the camaraderie as much as the comping now (not just on this board but in other areas of the forum) and I also like to make my contribution by adding comps here as/when I can. Winning is simply an unexpected bonus. See it like that and you'll stop obsessing so much about your emails. If you can't do that, then there may be deeper issues at play....
HTH
The spam is annoying, and the hundreds of emails a day. I dont expect to win, like you said its the rush.. the excitement. I think my OCD trait and obsessional personality dont help.0 -
