Cookie, my advice to you is to just enter what you can and forget! If you receive a WEM then great and if you don't then keep on entering! You never know what is round the corner so if you don't enter to be in it then you will never win it! :) Comping should be any enjoyable hobby not a chore! :) As soon as it become a chore then it is time to reconsider how you choose to spend your 'spare time' :) ie move on to spend time what you really enjoy doing or onto something different.
:TA big thanks to all who post and sprinkling lucky dust to all who enter :smileyhea

TBH - you enter and forget. Then you spend hours every week deleting spam email and a deluge of e'newsletters in the hundreds and sometimes thousands!

It took me about a year to lose the 'rush' and just get on enjoying it for what it is - a hobby - one that will never give you the returns relative to effort put in (aren't many hobbies like that?). However I enjoy the camaraderie as much as the comping now (not just on this board but in other areas of the forum) and I also like to make my contribution by adding comps here as/when I can. Winning is simply an unexpected bonus. See it like that and you'll stop obsessing so much about your emails. If you can't do that, then there may be deeper issues at play....

    HTH :)

First I find it hard to read your posts as I grit my teeth over the use of a lower case "i". In fact why is it the only time you have used capital letters correctly is my username?

Your use of the word "cope" I find odd.

    Cope is defined as:-

"to struggle or deal, especially on fairly even terms or with some degree of success"

Entering competitions is a hobby. If it is a struggle then don't do it. Simples.
Rational judgement, now, at this very moment.

Virtuous action, now, at this very moment.

Willing acceptance - now, at this very moment - of what you can’t change

Jeeze, it seems you have plenty of time on your hands if you are picking up on my grammar, which may I add was a mistake. Which we all make, right??
I never asked for negative feedback, if you dont have anything nice to say, then dont respond.. SIMPLES.

Not everybody is perfect, Right?? I was being polite. You, I believe need to learn these skills. I wasn't being rude, but clearly that is something you are brilliant at! Before you are quick to judge somebody, its probably best to get a bit of a background on the person. And as for my post, if you dont like it, dont read it!

See now the rudeness has rubbed off on me!

Can see your spelling is no better judgenment .. think you mean judgement. Im not at school, im not sitting an exam. I can and will type as I like. For all you know i could have an impairment, could be dyslexic.. you are quick to jump on my writing style.. how about think about the bullying talk before you type and think about the effect it could have on the persons mental wellbeing...
