Perhaps I've finally gone too far (for now)

M&S actually rejected me for a current account this week, so no extra regular saver for me. I think perhaps I should calm the switching frenzy for a few months until the dust settles, especially as I just started stoozing with a 0% purchases CC. This time last year I had 2 current accounts, both with Santander.
Now I also have a Nationwide Flexdirect about to expire, 2 TSBs, a Halifax, a FD with reg saver, and have just opened a Co-op account through the TCB offer.
Despite being in Scotland I managed to miss the Clydesdale frenzy. They made it such an awful performance to actually open one. While I'm more than willing to go through the trouble for £150 I was put off by their demand for three months bank statements, which obviously am unable to produce for a brand new donor account!
Think I'm going to give this game a break for a couple of months until my somewhat battered credit status recovers. Was quite surprised about M&S - I had a CC for years until I closed it because I wasn't using it any more. If I had known they were going to start offering a 6% regular saver, I never would have done that.

That's funny Tartan. I was thinking the same thing today after being knocked back from HSBC, I need to give it a rest for a while too.
I've gone from one current account this time last year to 10 current accounts and two credit cards. Finally got put back in my place by HSBC :rotfl:0 -

:rotfl:Made me chuckle anyway
I must admit, I'm surprised that I haven't had any current account rejections yet. Maybe I'm not trying hard enough!0 -
I've just started to get rejections and I've just had my first ever credit limit cut. I've got nine credit cards and nine current accounts. It's been like an addiction!0

Owned by HSBC. Perhaps you don't meet their customer profile. Rather than anything to do with what you think your credit rating is.0 -
They're quite happy to have me in their First Direct guise. It's not impossible that's part of the problem though. Anyway, not much point in trying to second guess their computer. Still, there can hardly be any harm in going a wee while without lots of applications!0
