I hate it when you get some pillock, who doesn't know how to use it, applying a soldering iron to some delicate item.0 -

Its a pretty easy job, no more than £25 plus parts for a repair shop to do, no soldering needed as the power socket is on the small IO board, it just plugs onto the motherboard, the time needed is just to get at the thing.
You're absolutely right ! Hubby bought the piece for £20 + postage on the internet, and spent just over an hour doing it. Found instructions on the internet which he followed carefully - and it now works perfectly - Fantastic!!0 -
