I hate it when you get some pillock, who doesn't know how to use it, applying a soldering iron to some delicate item.

You're absolutely right ! Hubby bought the piece for £20 + postage on the internet, and spent just over an hour doing it. Found instructions on the internet which he followed carefully - and it now works perfectly - Fantastic!!

Thanks for the feedback I've fixed quite a few of these and yes it's an easy fix, no soldering needed.
