Notice of intended court action

Hi,

I got received a parking fine from Euro Car Parks Ltd last year and decided to just ignore the letters they sent.

I then received a letter from Debt Recovery Plus Ltd and again decided to ignore it.

Yesterday I received a letter which basically says if I don't pay the fine by 06/04/15 (£130 quid) that my case will be passed to a creditor's solicitor to commence court proceedings. Not sure what to do and slightly panicking. (From Scotland btw)

    Thanks for the reply.

I did read them but I'm not the greatest with understanding law etc so I apologise.

My main worry was I haven't replied to any of the letters sent by Euro Car Parks or DRP whereas I seen people actually sending letters to get them to stop.

Do not contact them in any way whatsoever. They will twist and deliberately misinterpret your words to make it look like you admit being the driver. They can only take any action against the driver and if they do not know who that is life is difficult for them.

Contacting them only encourages them to carry on.

There's no real court proceedings possible unless they know the driver, and they don't so still don't bother contacting them. It's different in England/Wales but the advice for Scotland is to ignore anything apart from official court paperwork (which is hugely unlikely to ever happen).
