Good morning all, lovely sunny day here :D
Sorry to disagree, do you live in Scotland? Unfortunately national media have misrepresented the SNP. They have achieved a lot, first of all had a government that did not have a majority and managed to have proggresive politics, working with all sides for the better good.
Council tax freeze, free prescriptions, no tuition fees, all were supported by many other parties. Then a majority, yet we still have committees of all groups and there is no abhorrent, unelected, House of Lords.
ALSO Scottish Parliament does not have the baying and jeerimg that the Westminster parliament has.
About time for reform and true democracy. A party can have a majority government even thought the total votes are for another party?? That is why our two party system sustains itself, they do not want anyone else to have an influence. Sorry to say that the LD's seem to have been lap dogs for almost five years and now trying to seperate themselves. Give us PR that will give the people a proper voice.
Scotland is not agianst the UK, yes for independence and self determination, but also against undemocraticn government. Heck, we do not even have a constitution. in the UK.
    That is my comparable rant.
I would just adsk people not to comment on the appearance of leaders, it is not appearance that counts, it is their opinions. Too often female politicians have been criticised for dress sense, looks and hair. Yet males are not. And the worst thing is, that the ones doinf=g this criticism can be mainly female.
    Knackered typing now LOL

OK, I'm going to join in with the political rants just this once.

Scotland is against the UK, in that the SNP wants independence.

Taken from their own webpage "The SNP is a social democratic political party committed to Scottish independence. The party has been at the forefront of the campaign for Scottish independence for over seven decades. "

Who do you think pays for all the extras you get? It is the Barnett formula, under which you get about £1200 extra over and above what we English get per person per annum.

You want fairness, lets scrap that and even out what is given to all the areas in the UK.

And while we are about it, stop your people voting on the laws that only apply to the English (example above). Scottish MPs voted in tuition fees for England, I don't notice tuition fees in Scotland. Wales, Northern Ireland and Scotland have their own parliaments/assemblies in which English cannot vote, why should you vote on English laws?

Oh, and no baying and jeering in parliament? Maybe dissent is not allowed?

    Rant over.

PS, if anyone bar the above op reasonably requests me to remove this then I will, just angers me sometimes.

Isn't the HPV virus the one young teens can have an inoculation against?
I agree as also had numerous abnormal smears in the past until luckily a gyne Dr linked it to a few other things and decided a hysterectomy was the best thing.
He had planned partial leaving ovaries and cervix in place but once he got into the disaster zone that was once my children's first apartment everything had to go. I have seen the histology reports and very shocking.
If you have any slight irregularities get checked out properly. I had about 10 years of smears every 6 months and wasn't until I changed health authority they got to the problem.

Sorry for a female topic fellas but I dare say most of you discuss these things and will have to make choice on HPV vaccination for your daughters. Big shame not done on nus for boys as can cause throat cancer so I would seriously think about getting teenage boys vaccinated too. Meant to be before sexual active but for boys costs about £300. For the next generation should save the nhs alot on resources if this is irradiated as most females get it sooner or later most by 25.

Falls off soap box, rolls over and goes back to TV.

    Night

i had to have treatment for ab
normal cells then yearly and more smears, they told me the new test was as well as old test.i used to see the nurse practictioners at the vic as they were lovely, they said the new test was causing more work and uneccessary worry as it is present in alot of people and while in cell form theres wasnt any treatment for the virus alonethis was a couple of years ago now.as with VT i no longer have that worry.:D
