    Thank you fairclaire. :A

I eat a lot of eggs weekly and have a thing about checking the freshness and dates on box before I buy them.

I have heard about the glass test before but never tried it .

    Enjoy your day :)

Last month Scottish Power failed to take my direct debit payment and, after chasing them up, assured it would be taken in April as normal. It was not. After chasing again, they now say there is a system error on my account which will be looked at by their 'Specialist Team'.

Now I know someone else had the same issue last month, I think it may have been mhoc, but I could be mis-remembering. I'm wondering if they have had the same issue again this month?

Nationwide is my home bank so setting up a spare account for switching took minutes - that spare one I used for a Marks switch - I used the MSE link - you have to make sure you do this.
    Hello,
When you switch bank accounts, do you have to get any direct debits on the previous one?
It's a good idea, to have a main bank( what I do now, but a little bit scared to move to m&s) and open a second one just for the purpose on switching the banks and of course, getting spare money for that :D

Thanks for the info on the current accounts.

It made me realise interested ended on my YB account at end of Marchso have just applied for NW flex direct through quidco :T xx

Did you get the £150 switching bonus from YB? Still on I believe, new deal so only available if you didn't have it under the offer that was on since November (and check the T&Cs as you now need to switch in 2 DD and £1000). Could be worth a cheeky switch in before ditching it - it would be rude not to.

Also, anyone considering a new account switch to Nationw1de, there is a refer a friend scheme that may be of interest too (you need referring by an existing customer, but can be worth £50 each to you and the referrer ... and nothing stopping you going through QC too after this ... I have referred Mrs Anon previously as an existing customer).
