I'm like that with my dear Brother. My Sister gets so upset and angry at the thoughtless things he says and is amazed at how I let it go straight over my head. But I take antidepressants and she doesn't, lol, it does help. Seriously though, it is hard not to let others bring you down but you have to appreciate that it is a fault in them, not you, and that they have very sad lives if they get pleasure from such things. We all know how lovely and caring you are tweets

It must be amazing watching them :j

Thank you :) I don't really bother with my bro we are like chalk and cheese . I see him at mums if he happens to visit and I am there. If he rings or turns up at my door which is once in a blue moon I know he is after something :D

tweets, I can only echo what others have said.

I have been there, whatever I did was never good enough for my Mum.
The more I did to try to please her, the worse the criticism from her.

I know it's hard, I can't say don't let it get you down, because it will.

    Hugs to you

I can certainly agree with you there. This time last year, had my first allotment and was nominated to run the local allotment society's sunflower and scarecrow competition for local schools. Went really well, loads more entrants than previous years. :D As you know, by the end of the year life had reallly changed. :( Certainly brings home to you to try to make the most of the time that you have. Not always easy to do though.

12 months ago, all I had going on really was counting down the days until my holiday. Then, when we got back, for a little while I was a bit "lost" because I'd spent all these months looking forward to my hols, and then suddenly, nothing :( then I got the phone call. Was I still interested in an allotment. I clean forgot all about being on the list!

The phone call was Wednesday evening. We viewed on Saturday and I picked the keys up on the Monday. We plodded along quite nicely and then he got the call for a plot in October. Right from that day, the focus has been on getting the chickens.

A bombshell and a half hit MG about two months ago, and you're so right. It does make you make the most of things as best you can. There have been adjustments and sacrifices all round, but that's what you do, how you cope.

I wish we lived closer to each other MKS, I'd be there like a shot with the biggest :grouphug: for you :A
