M list now updated, as far as can be (not able to keep track of most of the A and T prices).

The Mushrooms are back on in M, as well as the Thick White Loaf at 29p - we had CB from that last time so, if that's not available this time, then avoid, we should get cheaper whoopsies:rotfl:.

The Linda McCartneys are off in M, as are the McCain Lightly Spiced Wedges (were 92p, now £1.85 although at least every source I've used is singing from the same hymn book there). The Young's Admiral Pie apparently went from 75p to £1.50 at some point between last Wednesday and today and is now back down but only to £1, so avoid as the 75p offer is not on any more. The Linda McCartney Veg. Sausages were alternatively vs S, but S has now gone up to full price and are now vs T although maybe need to wait another day before that offer gets picked up. However, perhaps we should be getting Quorn Sausages 8 pack (frozen), which are 336g rather than Linda McC 300g, as these Quorn Sausages have been and still are 99p in M.

I think that, as usual, most of the 'new' items on the list won't work. I don't think the Chutneys will work btw, although you never know. I think the SP Muesli should be compared A against T at £1.18 as it's "unlikely" to pick up M price again just yet. And, although the Pork Sausages are clearly back at 79p, I still have full price on the general 'run of the aisle' in the store that has had them back at that in the interim (you may recall I have had half of the stores displaying the 79p price even after the last offer was supposed to have ended - so, maybe it's never yet ended at all and been continuous for over the last month but half my stores had put them back to full price - I'm now seeing offers displayed showing 79p in other places of the store but the full price SEL actually on the product in the general run). As for the Irish Thick version, I saw no evidence of any 79p offer at all in one of my stores - no offer being displayed in the other part of the store, only showed the 'regular' pork sausages, and full price SEL. The other store had 79p, but it's one of the ones that's always had 79p even after the offer was supposed to have ended so I've been ignoring that in any event. I note 79p on the Irish Thick on msm/m.com but I have full price SELs (and I'm taking the 79p in the one other store as if it were £1.19 full price since it's always said that and could have been wrong in previous weeks, so may have never been changed). In short, I don't think a 79p pick-up on the APG is as clear-cut as last time.

I've also concluded that, like the baby wipes and creams before them, the Tommee Tippees are store-specific in M. I've had one store with baby wipes and creams all on half price - they have now ended in any event - and, yes, it isn't the same store but a different one that has had, and still has, the Tommee Tippees on offer prices. So, if you'd wanted half price baby wipes/creams and half price Tommee Tippees, you would have had to visit more than one M:(. I also have two own-brand comparables in the 'equivalent to Tommee Tippee'-type products - but, to no avail as I think they are all sadly store-specific in M. So, maybe buy the Tommee Tippees in M if you are lucky enough to have your M having the offers.

I think this must surely be "calculated", as part of the 'supermarket game', on their part - people generally only shop from a set list that they prepare of things that they need or have run out of - and they buy the shopping list regardless of the cost or whether the items are on offer or not - they do not stick merely to the offers as most of us do. Similarly, if people have baby stuff to buy, it may be likely they would have wipes, creams and bottles, teats, cutlery on the same shopping list and therefore, even if they did have a 'half price' store would either get the wipes and creams at half price but pay full price on the bottles and teats or pay full price on the wipes and creams and have half price on the bottles and teats. I'm sure, IMO, from my POV, it is planned and calculated and is there to ensure that people are almost certain to pay full cost on at least part of the shopping even if some of it is, in their one store, on "half price". Would you abandon half your shop, if you need 'baby items', and travel to a different store of the same supermarket in order to get the rest of the items that are on half price in the second store only?

Now, the creams and wipes are all off - and the Tommee Tippees and the like are half price still but only in one of my stores.

There's some Finish dishwasher cleaner and rinse aid on £1.75 in M, but you know to wait until they go onto mbuy elsewhere and then buy overnight on the very first day of the offer. Besides it won't compare to £1.75 just yet, as price collection won't be updated on the APG (except possibly in Scotland:think:).

The £15 prices on the alcoholic drinks are now all off in M, with the exception of Greenall's Gin which I have as Tvs M only for that size. The JS Bitter that was 4 for £20 (outside Scotland) is now straight £9:eek:, so no good there either.

And, after being 34p ever since the "M cheaper", then eday pricing, campaign started, the Fruit Shortcake is now 40p:eek: and any 2 for 70p:( - I hope they have their Board approval for that price increase. So, avoid that as well now, especially on 3 for £1 in A and :(that's going to be no use on wombles from now on in, as they always get that and now, like several of the rest of the biscuits, it will lose. However, I suspect things that are full price in M will ruin wombles more than a few albeit unhelpful pence increase on some biscuits.

That's it - and I do it all again tomorrow.
