OUCH I always want to tell people to watch their fingers on those mandolin things

I do watch masterchef :o and I can just see them saying 'so I've cooked for you some scallops on minted pea pur!e with finger shavings' :rotfl::rotfl:

Morning luvlies, lovely sunny morning here :)

FC I did just that. Local department store was advertising one on a TV loop in the kitchen department. DH just had to have one :o. Don't want to put people of their breakfast but while DH was out at work I thought I'd try it - didn't use the guard

Top of 2 my fingers shaved off washed down the sink when I put my hand straight under running water. Couldn't stem the flow so ended up ringing my dad, he took me to A&E where a doctor ended up using some seaweed clotting agent, worked well in the end.

DH knew something was wrong when he returned home from work while I was still out and the kitchen looked like something out of the Texas chainsaw massacre.

One finger and my thumb perfectly ok but now have a flat pad on my middle finger and slight nerve damage.

We binned ours straight away. Please be careful if you have one - they are lethal.

Talking of 80s....DS2 was disgusted at the chase tonight :D. the question was 'what decade was double denim popular' we all said 80s......well shakin Stevens and all that? But no.....the answer was 90s and he has informed me tonight that he's found no evidence of double denim in the 90s :D :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I feel a DS2 protest to the chase coming on :o

Did I put his email from Richard on pointless on here? I can't remember? He mailed Richard on pointless to tell him he was wrong on a fact and Richard emailed him back and fair play was brilliant to him. :D he admitted he was wrong and offered him tickets to the show.

DS2 doesn't want to leave home because he thinks they don't have tellys in London :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Pugh, pugh, barney magrew, cuthbert , dibble , watts (banana babe :p) yes I live in a parallel universe :p :rotfl:

Yep, Shakey is the one we all think of. I wonder if they meant *the term* "double denim" first appeared in the 90s. The girl group B*Witched were big into it!

    Morning everyone,

No bold for us - some bad skin in this house so can't use it. Will be going to get more rice though and hopefully wine :p

As I've been back from my holiday a week I've got the holiday blues so the brochures are out...anyone been to Cape Verde? At the min it's either that or Mexico but it will be late sept early oct which scares me for Mexico as it's hurricane season.

Cape Verde definite front runner ATM but any advice from you sensible lot welcome. Ta

Really appreciate everyone's thoughts and prayers for the young lady and her family. Thank you. :A

We knew accident had happened but did not know what, actually sort of assumed had been sport related, unfortunately used to hearing about those. :o Just wanted to say not convinced about it being suicide such a talented young girl with so much ahead of her. I am hoping with all my heart she recovers from this.

Morning, I take it the wine offer is no longer good? Pint Grigio showing on T.com as £5.99 instead of £7.49
