Huge congrats Wendyak :T
Happy Easter to all on the elite. Hope you have all had a good weekend.
Caught up on the thread and there's just a couple of points I can't help but make.
I am still new on here so don't know anyone or their past but just making observations. There are definite double standards on here at time. Some people post about their huge glitches and get patted on the back and others get slated, personally seems unfair.
Shouldn't single anyone out but Poppy definitely seems to get the brunt of a lot of snidey comments and I think last nights personal attack on her and the children comments were way out of order. Yes we are all entitled to our own opinions but how other people spend their personal time is really none of our business.
Two things I will say in Poppy's defence, is that I find her very informative with her posts and helps others out a lot with their questions.
Secondly, she certainly knows how to refrain from biting back, I'm sure we could all pick fault in other people's lives and how they spend their time but Poppy refrained from sinking to this level.
I can understand what you're saying re double standards but that maybe, however unfairly, due to how they come across in the forum but there appeared to me to be "snidey" comments directed at quite a few people including those who hadn't posted in a while and were not around.
The only standard I have is that everyone chooses their own line and lives with the consequences. Me, I choose the long long game because I have been doing this for a very long time. Yet it doesn't matter what policy or what store, human nature doesn't like the long game and some people will always grab what they can.
I am far too old and far too experienced in life to make judgements on anyone. Do as you will and so will I but abusing any system, in any area of life, will always hasten its end.
I'm not interested in spats or sides or a "them and us" mentality but these forums are read by the supermarkets-however stupid that may sound. They always have been. To raise your profile, to keep stating how much you are getting will end the very policy we all like so much and end it sooner than we'd want.:A NI FEIDIR ACH LE DIA BREITHIUNAS A DHEANAMH ORM0 -
