Morning Elite and happy easter.
My easter bunny arrived at 3.30 this morning weighing in at a healthy 7lb 5oz.
No name yet and the home birth was thwarted at the last hurdle in the shape of the local health authority, who sent an ambulance at the last minute and insisted the midwife accompany her to the hospital, only to be told that the midwife couldn't stay as it was not her domain.......
All done now and home safe and soundbest wishes to you all xx
Congratulations wendyak on your easter bunny :T:T:T0 -
Good morning all
can someone post the link for the quiz please and thanks
Have not posted on here in a while due to RL and health but the main reason for staying away is people are taking the pi** with the APG lately and I have had the gypsies as they say
Why would you want to draw attention by generating massive APGs as this IS drawing attention to the flaws in the system.
It will result in the end of the APG. I have also seen people complaining about the quantities of stuff purchased at the end of the day its up to the individual how much they want to buy. At least these individuals have the sense to do lots of smaller transactions to get what they want.
M4RT1N here is the quiz link goodluck

Awwww thanx hun
Was worrying I wouldn't be missed
Been working way to many hours, not even had time to pop on and share my chips with people
Hi dip , I did miss you but thought Bubbs would let us know if there was anything up, I made cupcakes and tablet this week past and that's what made me think of you😊The person who never makes a mistake never learns anything.0 -

Till spit apgs = almost no wombles:eek::eek::eek:
I would like to see a Tesco style system with Asda. I find the Tesco price promise at the till at the point of sale much better. You would not need to keep having to input the receipt info each time. Bonus would be if you could spend it right away as Tesco you have to wait the following day. You could also share your results right away and if your shop failed you could just dump the rest.0 -

Izzy, do you have a recipe for your tablet? My friend made us some for Easter, she's a fab cook. Because I was poorly DS demolished it and I only got one piece!0 -

This would stop a lot of the greed that has been going on here:)0 -
Good morning all.
Happy Easter to you all.:D
I've just caught up properly ( at last), and must say that I think that posting the results of very large apg's is at best unwise. As was pointed out the A team do read mse, specifically to spot anomalies in their pricing. With that in mind, a bit of circumspection is a good thing. By all means post what compares nicely, but without the apg details of the voucher generated, particularly if it is a big one. This gives the required information of the comparison, which is the reason for posting it.
It has long been thought that taking over the the top advantage of the system will result in its demise, as it did with Ts r&r, and their very generous coupon policy. Posting about huge single shot apgs could cause A to rethink their policy, and you can bet your boots that it wouldn't be to our advantage.
We all do so well out of their system. I've read about people being able to feed their families 'proper food', having holidays for the first time ever, giving to foodbanks, being able to afford little luxuries on the cheap that they had not been able to afford before. We as a team/family/group of people have changed some people's lives for the better.
FC posts wisely I think. Her general thought is moderation. The buzz of glitching, and getting stuff for pennies or free is addictive. The sense of achievement is a good feeling. It prompts us to repeat the action that gave us that feeling, but it can cause us to focus on glitching at the expense of other things.
I've realised this, and have reined in my enthusiam. I have a very good stash, and it gives me a nice secure feeling, but now, instead of grabbing everything that glitches, I think about it first.
Right, I'll climb down off my soapbox now, and go and hide behind HC's sofa. Where is it by the way? Hope it didn't get left behind when we moved.
Hope you all have a lovely day. As I can't find HC's sofa I"m going back to bed with a coffee and some paracetamol. I've developed a nasty sore throat overnight, and feel quite poorly.:(

I totally agree with what you've said. I don't think any of us have the right to make very judgemental posts but I can't see anything wrong with anyone commenting politely that they don't agree with really excessive hamering of glitches. I know we all have our own 'lines' (or possibly no line at all) but Asda probably have their own line on what they will allow to pass and what they will clamp down on.
Nothing wrong in stockpiling and helping out family/friends/foodbanks etc and flogging a bit if they have more than they need and people are completely free to do what they want. I am certainly not totally innocent and my 'line' is probaly higher than quite a few peoples. However - and this is only my own opinion and I am not aiming at anyone in particular or castigating anyone whose attitude is different to mine - I reckon there is a world of difference between doing that and getting enough free/nearly free stuff to sell on a scale that approaches running a little 'business' to the extent that tax liabilities are discussed.
And, also, I don't think it is acceptable for a few people to make unpleasant comments about anyone who suggests that some postings/shops are unwise.
I hope that the opportunity to benefit as most of us do continues but I honestl think our days are numbered. Tesco soon put a stop to a lot of our profitable activities and I believe Asda will do the same before too long.
I'll toddle off now back to my pasking for my trip to Slovenia on Wednesday.ELITE 5:2

Sorry I didn't answer the question. Lots of family here, lots of fruit and veg, lots of entertaining. Not much time for keeping track of the Elite...

any Londoners please some suggestions.
where can you eat cheaply on a Saturday lunchtime - something high volume like rice or noodles
- I was thinking street food originally.
Eldest childs fav market market - Borough market but the portions are too small and anyway they have been there.
Eldest child has 2 visitors next weekend both with vast appetites, taking them to normal restaurants is hopeless, they would be hungry within half an hour and they also don't want to pay London prices
Brick Lane has loads of street food stalls on the weekend and is reasonably priced'I solemnly swear that I am up to no good'0
