MP3 CD Transcoding from iTunes

I’ve just got a new CD player for the car which will also play mp3 CDs, only problem is that I use iTunes to store all my music (have a 20GB 3G ipod) and a lot of my music is encoded as aac (or whatever itunes uses).
Whenever I try to burn an mp3 CD, I get a warning that lots of my files are not in a suitable format. Is there some sort of utility that can burn mp3 CD’s, transcoding them from an aac original on the fly?
Free would be good too

No but there's tools that'll convert aac to MP3 which you can then burn.
I use GX Transcoder which is freeware:

*** Board Guide Note ***
Hi
everyone
I've just deleted another thread and a few posts from this thread.
Please note that under the current rules discussing how to break/remove copy-protection from files is not allowed.
How to convert unprotected files is Ok, but not if they have any form of DRM
thanks

Goto itunes Preferences. In there click on advanced and then importing. Change this to MP3.
Click OK.
Now select all the tunes you want to be MP3, holding the control button will allow you to make specific selections, right click and 'convert to MP3'
Create a new smart folder which only displays MP3s, use this as your iPod playlist file.

Not sure why my post was removed. It, only, contained links to legitimate software(dBpoweramp) and no details for removing DRM.

Donnie,
You never posted in this thread and none of your posts were removed from this one.
What was removed was another thread where its OP stated the music was from an Itunes account. Since the reason the songs wouldn't work was probably because they were copy-protected, and most subsequent posts were about various ways to remove it, I deleted the whole thread.0 -
Is that the case? Then it must have been the other thread.
If you have deleted the whole thread because of the subject matter, that is fair enough.
Not having iTunes or an iPod, I assumed that it was just a matter of converting the m4a format to mp3, so posted a link to an free version of dBpoweramp.
No harm done. :beer:0
