Which is best, credit card or personal loan?

Could really do with some help here guys.
I get married soon & need to borrow around £4000 for expenses. I plan to pay off the amount above to settle the remaining balance of our wedding venue.
Now this is where the problem is, I would like to borrow the amount above over 12 months, am I better with a credit card or personal loan?
Please help guys

If you do go for a credit card, a 15 - 18 (or more) 0% spending card with the right credit limit is possible and could effectively cover this all for you without any interest. Simply pay of the amount, either in regular chunks or by saving up the cash in a savings and all at once (paying the minimums per month at least of course!).

If you do go down that route, make sure that you do clear the card before the 0% runs out as it gets very expensive otherwise...

The real question would be if you would get a card of this sort... see what the eligibility checkers on this site suggest may be a good place to look.
