Replace strip across front door threshold

Our front door has a small wooden strip running along the threshold which has gone rotten in one place - the previous owners have simply covered it over with black tape.
I'd like to rip it out and replace it when I refurb the front door and frame (just going to prep, paint and replace door hardware). But I don't know what its called or what I should replace it with. Any ideas?
Here's some photos:

It's a door threshold strip, they often go rotten.
I've replace several in recent years in different properties with aluminium and rubber ones from screwfix, you might have to adjust the bottom of the door a little for a good fit.

Thanks - so just remove the existing strip and screw the new one in?
The door needs to be adjusted anyway as it's sticking at the bottom. I'll probably do everything when the door comes up for sanding and painting.0 -
