Ok everyone thanks , i agree a tenant would be better but i would rather sell .if i mortgage to get it bricked i would maybe just break even it would also take too long and i would have all the inconveniance.if i didnt go down that road whats going to happen in say 20 yrs ,it may become a compulsary purchase and be flattened Maybe .
I will consider selling to a landlord as a last result.
ALL i want is to be prepared with the mortgage companys that do give mortgages so that i can point them in the right direction also theres a lot of people / prospective buyers who know that these are not mortgageable. i need to advertise showing that they are to get these people interested, and be armed with the relevant companys . If anybody is aware of any for a fact they can phone me on 01226 749474

I think you will find it extremely difficult if not impossible to get a mortgage on a PRC property. You will almost certainly have to sell it 'cash only'. Good luck whatever you decide.

    I don't think you're listening, jud.

Nobody who needs a mortgage is going to go through the significant additional pain of getting a mortgage from a very restricted list of lenders, who will probably impose low maximum LTVs and charge a higher rate, all because they don't like lending on defective houses.

They will just buy a different non-defective house for slightly more money, and pay the same amount in mortgage for something they'll easily sell on in a few years.

You really are restricted to the cash buyer market, or to keeping it yourself and letting it out.

well i can but try , doesnt hurt to try and im not in a hurry as i said earlier if i do come unstuck i can always stick in an auction as they seem to be making a good price for a basic prc with no modernisation where mine iis fully moderised air-con, 3beds and a detached garage and shed and a drive that will hold 5 to 7 cars.
Ive always said there is a buyer for everyting if you are prepared to wait.:T
