too late to switch from where to where? how would your intention to open an HTB ISA in the autumn impact you now?

Yes I did read it, but only yesterday and think I am too late to switch now if I am holding out for the HTB. I just have a cash ISA with HSBC and couldn't find anywhere how much interest I get, I am pretty sure it's not that much though =/

The hint that past over your head is, look at TSB and Nationwide.
  • Sorry I thought these forums were for people to help other people out. I have no knowledge in this area, which is why I am asking lots of questions.:(
Martin Lewis:money: said on the tv that everyone who already has an ISA if they are wanting a HTB ISA when it comes out in the autumn they are not to transfer any money into the ISA they already have after 6th April as it means you are still keeping it active and when the HTB comes out they will not offer it to you if you have an ISA running at that point. Then you will have to wait until next April to be able to get it.

I am not sure what you mean by looking at TSB and Nationwide, is that to switch my ISA to a better interest rate?
If I do that now, will that not mean that I will have to wait until next April for HTB??? =/

TSB and Nationwide offer 5%AER on certain NON-ISA accounts, therefore perfect if you don't want to put any money into a normal ISA this year.
Actually a good place to put £4500 even if you wanted to pay into an ISA this year.
