Lesson Learnt, Why no one should automatically pay a PCN!!

I have had very few tickets over the years but then got one in December from one PPC then another in January on a different carpark for totally innocent reasons....most people would have paid it, however following the advice on here I waited for the NTK....and waited .....and waited, the ticket date was the 9th January and I have not heard a thing from the PPC!.....result no liablity to pay it now saving me £100!
Just want to say thanks to all the regular voluntary contributors on this forum, your advice on here is invaluable and I'm becoming a bit of a bore 'spreading the word' among everyone I know:j

Should you suddenly receive 'other' p/w, with claims that previous dated comms were sent, you'll know exactly how to deal with it.

Just come back here - after using the Search this Forum box, bien sûr!

Beware of LBC and MCIL forms - don't ignore. Re-read c-m's signature.

Assume you believe both Dec and Jan tkts are now kicked into touch?[remember the 6-year rule]. £100 seems light for 2 scam invoices.

The first one is still to be heard at Popla but the second one, it's my understanding from reading the forums that they cannot now issue a NTK and demand the drivers details as they are over the 56 days so should I receive a letter requesting the drivers details, as the keeper I do not need to disclose them and they cannot now persue the Keeper as keeper liability under POFA is now discharged.....I think?

That won't stop them doing it. And won't stop them chasing the keeper.

So the advice is to treat it as normal and get it killed off at appeal or POPLA (if it's a BPA member). If it's an IPC member then Skippy at IAS won't care anyway.
