Just checked the balance of my clubcard points on my 3 accounts and they are say the same - horrible feeling that my accounts have been merged and that i've lost loads of points. Anyone else had this?November wins...a book, a designer handbag (worth £550 :T) and a game. I am now an addict and thank everyone for taking the time to share and post.0

Yes, looks like 2 of mine have been merged, a third one can't tell me my balance, so maybe that one being added as well!Daren't ring up CS and check tho' , just have to hold tight till we get our vouchers I suppose.0 -

I just logged in via Tesco.com grocery and got
Sorry, it is not possible to provide your points balance at this time. Please try again later.
Then I logged in through the clubcard 'My Account' and my points balance looks about right for that card. (I have 2 clubcards).
Update: Both ways are now working and are showing correct points.I Hate Jobsworths!!!0 -
Hi all
Sorry just noticed I posted on the code only thread - so have moved it here!
Tescos have changed their website design - anyone notice? This is all down to us lot here on MSE and all other code sites on the net!
The new site design will not allow you to use a voucher code unless it has specifically been sent to you via your registered email address or home address!!!!
Tesco customer services say that this is because the system is being abused by us! They have lost money and now need to address the problem!!!
So now unless you get the code sent specifically to you, you will be unable to use it.
So in theory this board is useless - shame it has been a godsend to me for saving money on my weekly shop. Unless of course some clever techie out there can get around it - if so let us know!!;)All I want is an opportunity to prove that money doesn't buy happiness

Off the top of my head I think it's mainly the 'biggies' that require this, such as holiday companies. When you apply for the vouchers, they need your clubcard number, presumably you would give them your own. Will they check up that the vouchers marry up with your number? Who knows? But I would be reluctant to risk it.My dad sells us his vouchers, but I use them for days out etc and I get them sent to his address so it's all kosher!
As Sunnyflower says, it depends which deals you go for - but I think from memory, that the deals tokens I've had do always have my surname printed on them, regardless of what they are for. However, for some things which you don't need to give your name and details for, and for which you can pay cash, this wouldn't matter eg restaurant, dry cleaning or days out. If though you got them for a hotel for example, then when you book the hotel you have to give all your details , so you couldn't then use them with someone else's name on them.
We've just come back from a lovely weekend in London staying in a very nice Thistle hotel courtesy of Tesco's clubcard deals, so I'm feeling quite sad that it might have been the last time...but if all good things must come to an end, it's been great while it lasted.0 -
QUESTION!
I have never been sent any online codes (although I am new to tesco clubcard)
I have opted to recieve in-store coupons when I recieve my clubcard statement - does this mean I am less likely to recieve the emails that other people seem to get on here for points and money off when you shop online?0 -
I only recieved a £10 code because I hadn't shopped with them for a while.0

I can't get any codes to work for my account! My boyfriend has his own account and i have one for my office which I use for work every few months. They seem to be getting emails with codes through, but i am not plus the codes don't work on my account! They seem to be rewarding the people who rarely use them not people like me who spend about £70 - £100 a week. And I am also annoyed that the Spice Girls ad cost about £5 million, I would have rather have had discounts passed onto us! I have no intesrest in seeing them lot parade round tescos when we all know they probably never shop there! I am probably going to move to Asda Or Ocado :mad:0

I've been reading all this with interest as I too have been having my shopping delivered using codes for a number of years and am now fed up with Tesco as I can't get any codes to work.
By pure coincidence I have been sent some codes by Ocado so get ordering! It says:
"Save £30 off your shopping.
We're offering all Waitrose and John Lewis customers £10 off your first 3 shops over £90. Go to Ocado.com and register.
Book an order before 29/02/2008 and start shopping. Enter the relevant code in the Ocado vouchers and coupons box.
1st shop: VOU6346236
2nd shop: VOU6432201
3rd shop: VOU6486232
Click "add" and £10 will automatically be deducted from the bill."
Maybe after a few weeks of not using Tesco and with a few trips to Morrisons/Asda/Sainsburys too, they might start sending out a few codes.0
