i regularly ignore any additional points code i get for tesco in favour of their discount codes ie; 20 additional points if you buy bread or £5 off next shop. but am i doing wrong? am i right in thinking 20 points equals £20 of points or have i got it all wrong? it would certainly explain why i only ever receive £6 or £7 worth of clubcard points0

I was like you once upon a time
The way I look @ this is -
I use the codes for extra points which then allows me to use my Clubcard vouchers for deals which is worth 4 times the orginal amount.
So 1000 points is worth £10.00 in store or £40 in deals
So if you have £5.00 off £50.00 spend vrs extra 1000 points on £50 spend would work out like this.
£50 of shopping minus £5 discount = £45 which gives you 45points which equates too 45p if used in store or £1.35 in deals
if you use the extra 1000 points - you need to pay £50 which then gives you 1050 points which means £10.50 in store of £40 ind deals.
So work it out your better of using the extra points
even if you use the points instore you will get £10.50 instead of the £5.00
I hope that makes a little sense to youIf I have been helpful - Hit the Thanks button0 -
I wanted to share this with you all.
Have recently been looking into a Butlins holiday with my points to Bognor I rang and they have told me that by paying with clubcard points you have to purchase a full priced holiday from their catologue. On their website you can usually save £100 -£150 per holiday so I have decided not to collect for butlins with clubvouchers as it is cheaper just to book on their website.0 -

Thats always the case with Tesco Deals you pay the full priceIf I have been helpful - Hit the Thanks button0 -

Hello - I am sure this has been asked before but I can't find it. I have 4 accounts on similar names and do online grocery and wine club shopping, and am members of all the clubs. We got our 4 wine club mailings today and most of the vouchers are for in-store - I am not used to actually having to go to a shop! So I wondered 2 things
1) If, for example, I now have 4 vouchers to get 50 points on a particular bottle of wine, would I have to buy 4 bottles of wine to be able to use all 4 vouchers in one go?
2) And if you hand over a big collection of vouchers with 4 of each kind, in similar names, would the checkout person think that was odd and question it? I tend to try to keep a low profile and don't even phone them if my order is wrong in case they realise I have 4 accounts. Should we just go do shopping 4 times instead?
Thank you!

Hello there
Fingers crossed this is the correct place to post, if not my apologies.
I got a coupon with my last points mailing that offers 500 points on Annual Travel Insurance purchased in store.
I was buying a 1 week insurance today reduced from £16 to £13 and thought I would try it.
Big smiles, an extra 500 points on my till receipt.
So free holiday thanks to MR T and now free insurance too !
Hope this helps someone.xxxdxxx

You would need to buy the bottle x 4 to use 4 vouchers
I use SS and my key fob and never have any problems using as many vouchers as I likeIf I have been helpful - Hit the Thanks button0
