  • New to posting - XX-TCVL gave me £12 off an £80 shop this morning. First code I've managed to get to work for a while!!
  • Just received this e-mail

  • Hi all

I have been using the codes on this site for a while now, for Tesco mostly. I finally think I stumbled on something good myself, so it's time for me to share!! This is my first post, please go easy on me!!

OK, basically, I found a way to generate your own Tesco codes. The method I have used has been tested by me twice. So I know it works. Each time I am able to generate a £10 off a £50 spend code.:j

It may sound troublesome, but just 5 mins work to save £10 - makes sense to me!

    1. Register a new email address with hotmail, gmail, whatever.
    2. Go to www.tesco.com and create a new user ID, using the email address you created in 1. When using your contact details, use any name you like, and any address with the same postcode as yours (maybe your neighbours? a vacant flat next door?)
    3. Log out of your tesco account. Don't do anything with it for 5 days.
    5. You'll receive a code in your email, saying something like, hey, you registered, don't you want to try tesco.com etc etc? Here's a £10 code for £50 spend. Voila!
    6. Log into your tesco account. On the top right, you'll see the account details button, click it. On the page which comes up, amend your address to reflect your actuall address. (You don't want your groceries delivered to someone else!)
    7. Do your shopping, at checkout, enter the code you received at point 5, above.

    DONE!!

Ok, here's the so called technical bit: When you register with Tesco.com, your email address generates your Tesco Custome ID number. This number does not change throughout the life of your account - but that doesn't mean you can't change the address (home address) associated with the account. :rotfl:

Now I know some of you may think this is a whole lot of trouble to go to for a tenner. The last time I did it, it took me 5 minutes of effort altogether (indeed, typing this post has taken me longer!) - so think about it!

The only drawback I can think of, is you can't use your existing clubcard etc - they are bound to catch on to you if you do.

    :p Enjoy!:p

And remember, this is my first post - if I've done anything wrong (or if you think its not appropriate for me to put this on the forum - I'm Sorry!!)

XX-TCVL claims to be £12 off £50 spend but doesn't seem to work unless you spend minimum of £80 - just tried it myself and confirmed this to be the case.

    Used and Approved thanks :D

Thanks for the info, have tried it but sadly it doesn't work. It's so frustrating that they can charge so much for delivery, they are not even huge canvasses, just the smallest they do. Will trawl the net to see if I can find a firm that does free delivery and give them my custom instead.
    Thanks again

When I order photo stuff from Tesco I get it delivered to my local store (which doesn't do photos) and collect it at Customer Service. There hasn't been a charge for it so far.
When I had my loft converted back into a loft, the neighbours came around and scoffed, and called me retro.
