brittania parking ticket

Hi guys
posting on behalf of a friend

She was issued a parking ticket on windscreen at Horsefair wisbech , they offer free parking for 2 hours, she overstayed by 15 minutes and returned just as ticket was being issued by Brittania.

Does she have any recourse or does she just pay the £60, increasing to £100 after 14days.

If it gets to the request vehicle data stage the car is a lease car and it is possible the lease company may just pay it

this friend should read and follow the NEWBIES sticky thread and appeal it using the LEASED CAR basis , appealing as KEEPER, ON OR SOON AFTER DAY 21

they should also contact the lease company to tell them they are dealing with it (as an invoice, no mention of the word "fine")

As above its not a fine so dont call it that especially when dealing with a lease company as lease company often get confused and try and charge admin fees and such like.

She pays nothing increasing to nothing from now and forever more.

the friend ended up ignoring my advice and sent a letter to Brittania appealing (giving good justification) and Brittania upheld it so one happy friend
