Expedia flight change advise

Ok have booked for myself and my wife to go from London to Bangkok via Oman (Muscat) with Oman air. I have just received notice of a flight changed on the way back that means we only have a 25 minute transfer time. This seems ridiculous.
Have called Expedia who called Oman Air who say its plenty of time. I've been landed and not got off the plane in 25 minutes never mind transfer.
He didn't really give a lot of advise started to mumble about terms & conditions.
What are my options ? There is no other flight back from Muscat to London that day. I told Expedia I'd call back when I spoke to my wife, but really I just wanted time to ask for any advise people can give. My instinct is to cancel and either go with somebody else or go somewhere else.
Thanks

Before doing anything rash I would contact Oman Air yourself and ask them what their minimum connection time is in Muscat, instead of relying on Expedia to get the correct info for you.

It could well be that the flights are at gates next to each other or that guarantee to hold the Manchester flight for incoming connections, until you ask you won't know.

If they tell you 25 mins is within their minimum connection but you miss the flight they it will be up to them to get you home.

Seems very tight. Even if Muscat are particularly slick at transfers (no idea if they are or not)

If the airline are happy to ticket the itinerary, they are responsible for you in the event that the connection is missed. So they'd have to put you on the next flight, and should provide overnight accommodation if that was the next day. However I'm sure its hassle you won't want.

Have Expedia offered any alternative? Or refund? It might be in the airline's T&C's that they can change timings etc. They may or may not offer a refund if you want to cancel.

You could try calling the airline direct. Most airlines will insist you go through the agent but you might be able to get some more sense from them.

    Hung up my suit!
I did that exact flight last year. We did transfer very quickly, probably within about 25 minutes and were then waiting around, so I'm not sure that your fears are necessarily warranted.

25 minutes does sound very short and doesn't seem to match their current flight schedules for that trip, but it obviously depends on when you're booked for. You could call Oman Air in the UK (the number is on their website) and ask. You would think they'd hold the connecting flight if the incoming one was a matter of minutes late and as already said, the airline should take responsibility for getting you on the next available flight if through their fault you miss the connection.
If Oman Air say those flights could be booked with them, it's a fair assumption that they consider the connection time adequate.

Thanks all the original transfer time was 1 hour and tbh I considered that tight. We are flying at half tern October. We are coming back on the Saturday so we have a day to spare if we need it until we have to be back Monday. I will call Oman Air today, Thanks again
