Can onyone suggest a user friendly freeview box which an 86 year old lady could use and understand. Something that has reasonable sized buttons on the remote and a program list that is not to fidderly to access. There are a lot of elderly people out there who miss out on this because these boxes are to complicated for them to use.

Pretty well all of the cheap ones are 'user friendly'. The more expensive ones feel the need to add complicated things to justify the additional cost, so I'd get a cheap one from Asda.
I think the important thing is to set the tv so that it goes to the digital part when switched on and the tv remote is simply for switching on and off and nothing else.
I have one tv where I switch it on it goes to the analogue channel. I then switch to the digital channel before I can use the freeview remote.
With the other tv I just turn it on with its own remote and it displays the digital channel so its straight to the freeview remote for everything else, which is much simpler.I'm Glad to be here... At my age I'm glad to be anywhere!!

If the ladies TV is getting old, it may be better to get a new TV with Freeview built in, less complicated than a stand alone box.0
