  • went to boots in london colney today and the SA and the manager refused to honour the 1/2 marked price promotion on red stickered sales goods! i was not impressed! although the items were only a £1 each it's the principle!

called up CS today and told them and the lady gave me 750 points! so i ended getting back £5 (only spent £2.50!):rotfl:

got...ROC fort lip lotion £1 (should have been 50p)
Eylure Brow Smooth £1 (should have been 50p)
Ruby & Millie lip liner 50p!

They had lots of green back to school bags upstairs by the pharmacy.

Watford had few bits and pieces...bought baby wipes (144) for 80p!:T

    Hi Super Keen Money Saver,

Was there alot left in the clearance section @ London Colney?

Thanks for your help, monkey-moo. I'm looking for a memory stick micro (m2) - these are the really tiny ones (half the size of the memory stick pro duo)- and any brand will do basically.
I just wanted to spend my points on something useful. But I was told on the phone and in 2 stores that they do not stock them since they only work for mobile phones. Also, the guy on the phone explained that these sorts of things are being discontinued by boots because they cannot compete in price with internet stores. Perhaps this is what is happening with the ipods. Also, I remember that when I started collecting points (6 months ago after discovering the great advice in this thread), I was looking to buy a mobile and searched in several of the london boots stores and none stocked them any more... Ultimately this just means we won't be able to spend out points in this sort of electrical stuff...

hi there, they had some tiny ones. One was a fuji xd I think - definitely much smaller than all the others but I'm not very techy so couldn't say if it's what you are after. There was another one, can't remember the brand but it was called mini sd. They are on the clearance stands as soon as you walk in the shop. Hope this helps

there are some benefits to getting my husband up for work i guess ;) though i didn't do such a good job this morning as when i saw the chanel whilst making his breakfast i let it go cold so that i could make an order before it went out of stock.
i just wish i had got up at 5am when i 1st awoke and i might have got my shampoo too!

    Hi everyone,
Just got my reply from the CS concerning earning vouchers when paying with points: :-(

I have spoken with our sales plan team and they have clarified that customers aren't able to pay with Advantage card points and receive the voucher. This is stated on the vouchers terms and conditions.

It's such a shame, really. Well, can't have it all. Still when paying with points, I still got the n7 GWP (lovely!!) - I bought one R+R plus one of those tan thingies for £1.65 to get the total over £18. I tried several times with clearance stuff but it wouldn't go through.

Clearance 100 ml n7 stuff (toner, cleanser, body lotion, pink ones for dry/ normal skin, sun lotion, tan lotion) all 50p @ Boots queensway london. Great pressies for xmas!!

    Eagerly awaiting other glitches,
    pcg2001.
