I had a seriously rubbish day in Boots today. Went to the Oracle centre in Reading and put my card in the one machine that was working - the only voucher it offered me was a 1/2 price eye test!!! And that was it!!! I usually get all the offers.

Gutted too as I really want the £10 off when you buy P+P plus 2 moisturisers to go with my £7 off voucher. Tried the other Reading boots but no luck there either. :(

Finally managed to get my Boots fix today after getting nothing apart from a Diesel perfum sample yesterday. Not from The Gyle, Edinburgh branch I might add which was rubbish and didn't even have a clearance section apart from a few perfumes.

I managed to get 1 x ltr laundry softner (10p), I small Soltan 25 spray (10p), 1 x 2 pk Oral B bRAUN toothbrush heads (40p), Kettle and sink descaler (8p), Boots insect repelant spray (25p).

Just used my 3 x £5 skincare vouchers on TD hand creams. ;) Mind you I still have a TD stash from the time products were free with a voucher over 1 year ago. :o
    Tesco points: 101 (£21.50, £19.50, £7.50, £21 & £5)
    Boots points: £0.28
    Pigsback points: 715 (4 xBoots£10 & 1 xPizzaHut£10, 2 x £10 clothing vouchers)
    Mutual points: 3417 (redeemed 8250)
    Rpoints:redeemed 28925 points)Cashbag:£8.91(£20)
  • Went into Boots today with 2 skin care vouchers but the assistant said I couldn't use a voucher for olay total effects handcream because it's not facial even though on page 1 of this thread it's supposed to be okay.

Poor you - it's embarrassing when it doesn't work, isn't it?
I don't understand this, though. I had just spent a voucher on some TD wipes and other things, which took my shopping over £5, thus giving me another voucher. The very helpful SA told me you could get the Olay hand cream, took me over to get some, and then was quite happy to put it through with no other purchases. I was really surprised it worked because previous vouchers (e.g. Sanctuary) have said "skincare" and have only worked on facial skincare.

Worth trying again with another SA if you have any more vouchers, I reckon. I like it better than the TD handcream.

I went with my handful of £5 vouchers today and got quite a selection of the time delay stuff - it seems quite nice for next to nothing anyway.

I dont like the way that Boots have restricted this voucher to such a small selection of stock though :(

Quick question - I've been saving my points and hoped to use them towards Gift Cards for people at Christmas - except of course I have just realised that you cannot redeem points for gift cards. DOH!:o

Can I be sneaky and purchase things with points ...... and return them..... and be refunded onto a gift card? Does it work like that?

Any advice would be gratefully appreciated!
    Thanks,
    Lurleene
  • Hi Lurleene, yes I think you can - I had to return a product a while back and had lost the receipt, the SA said I could have goods to the same value, so I said ok I will get some shopping and come back, then she offered to put it on a gift card for me. HTH.
