Sorry if in wrong place.
I have a pockit mastercard prepaid card. Works fine been using it to pay bills and online shopping. Last night I put in £80 (£83 something on my card after topped up) to have handy to pay my sky and also for my shopping online with Sainsburys as I had a £15 off first £60 shop. My shopping comes to £48 I go to bed and today I wake up to find only £3 odds in my account. Then Sainsburys ring and say card was declined so had to cancel my delivery. I check my card statement and nothing (which once or twice over years has meant stuck in pending). Ring them back and they were clueless and just asking would I like them to try the card again. I said no I would like to know why I have money missing and more than the cost of the shopping. They didn't help the girl just paused. I hung up and contacted my card company and am waiting for a reply,
Now what I think is they tried to take money and failed and my money is pending but I don't have a clue why it's way over £48 as Sainsburys confirmed the price on phone. I also asked if they tried to take it again once it failed and they said no.
My sky wasn't paid btw before you ask. the only thing due was sainsburys. Money was gone same time was due. Only thing I can think is they took a authorisation payment of like £30 or whatever to test card and then order cost but failed and all my money is sitting in pending and will be returned in 10days (how my card company does it). This has happened to me before but not this amount or extra money. I mean 2 weeks again I did a tesco online shop just fine and all went smoothly.
This was last of my money so I'm a bit done for if I have to wait 10days to eat again.
If it is pending does anyone know if I can speed things up some how like proving the order was canceled and declined. I don't really know what to do. No food money and a unpaid bill.
Thanks for reading. Sorry if I repeated myself I'm a little anxious. I suffer from anxiety problems.

This is the first time you say it was over £48. How do you know this? What does your Pockit online statement say about the topup and purchases?to have handy to pay my sky and also for my shopping online with Sainsburys as I had a £15 off first £60 shop. Hi
I topped up by paypoint. My statement shows £80 added yesterday. As for £48 that was the amount the shopping was meant to come to and sainsburys confirmed it on the phone. So I have over £48 missing with nothing on my statement besides me topping up £80. My balance was £82* odds late last night in my card. This morning around £3.90. Normally if it does not show up on the statement (once or twice in the past) the payment didn't go through and stuck in pending. Then I had to wait at most 10days to get it back. If so was hoping anyone knows if I could speed up that 10day progress by showing its been canceled/declined by Sainsburys to pockit.
I'm also a little lost to why I have more than £48 missing as that's only the amount my order cost. I'm missing like around £30 on top of that.0 -
Ok some things cleared up. The card company rang and told me Amazon prime tried to take £79 out of my account. I don't use the thing and can't even remember signing up to it. Maybe in the past on a trial not sure.
Was told on the phone it didn't go through so it's stuck in pending and if it's not claimed by Amazon it will go back into my account in 10days from today. From what I noticed if this happens it almost always goes back in. They tried to take it out at 5am so just happened to think it was a shopping issue because the order was at the same time.
So no food for 10days

Moving away from your actual enquiry, if money is so tight that having about £50 in suspense means you can't even afford food, why are you spending money on a luxury item such as Sky?0 -

You can have telephone and internet from Sky, there's nothing to say the OP is paying for an all singing all dancing Sky TV package ! Using a pre-paid card makes me think the OP is budgeting very carefully indeed !
