Wait for the result of the valuation, the bank will let you know. I don't know about Natwest but either they will phone you or write to you. If you don't hear in 2 days I'd phone them they should be able to give you a yes or no over the phone, then the full report will be in the post. I'd wait for the result of the valuation before spending extra money on more surveys and starting the searches / conveyencing. If you want to play it safe you'd want to wait for the firm offer before spending any more money.

    Hello,

So it has taken 17 days so far. How long can it take now the conveyencing process if everything goes smooth?

6 weeks is a common estimate, but it depends mainly on if there are any issues or not. It could be done in 4 weeks if things go smoothly, if there are problems it could take months :o

Our house was very straightforward freehold purchase in a "solid" residential part of town, and the process took 5 weeks without any chasing or worrying. The longest bit for us was actually waiting for the survey and then the mortgage offer, so you're ahead of the game ;)

i received my mortgage offer by post yesterday with all the information related to the offer, basic valuation report, etc.

Has this document been sent to my solicitor too? I am asking this because the last comunication i had with him was on Friday when sent him an email to let him know that the mortgage offer was issued. He replied saying that he will review all and get back to me early this week.

I know it is still Tuesday but, shall i chase him just to get an idea of timeframes now?
