Help/Advice needed DRP intended court action

Hi guys,

Just needed clarification on a few points as I've read through quite a few threads now but want to make sure I get this right.

Basically, I (very stupidly) ignored letters from UKPC asking for my cash, and it was passed on to DRP. DRP sent me a letter for "Notice of intended court action". They state that if I don't pay by tomorrow they will pass this info on to the creditor's solicitor. I seem to get conflicting info on whether to respond to DRP at all.

I am planning on sending UKPC an appeal letter asking for an appeal outside their deadline tomorrow.

Do I need to shoot on a letter or email to DRP as well?

If you want me to post up the letter I have mostly copied from threads from here let me know.

Cheers

    ignore DRP

read post #4 of the NEWBIES sticky thread

if you wish to appeal it to UKPC and complain to the landowner , do so, but dont expect a good result from UKPC

shame you didnt appeal it properly and get it quashed at popla, for zero outlay

    Hi Redx,

That's the main thread I've been reading through, so I've taken the text of my letter to UKPC from the links in post #4.

What do you mean don't expect a good result from UKPC?

    Will ignore DRP, thanks.

Edit: Unkomaas: For a start, post #4 of the newbie thread says "ignore them or robustly respond." for starters. Sorry I've read through probably 20-30 threads so I can't point you to each and every thread, just wanted clarification that's all.

What kind of result would you be expecting from UKPC?

I don't think at this late stage that is likely. Don't forget that no one is the slightest bit interested in your case - the PPC, DRP, the BPA, the DVLA.

All the first two want is your money, the third represents the first two and the fourth doesn't give a frack, as long as their indexed-linked pensions aren't threatened by their inertia!

So is getting an appeal through POPLA not likely either? From what I've read it seemed that no matter how late you've left it (up until actually going to court of course) you could still get an appeal with POPLA and in turn that would possibly get the charge cancelled.
