Natwest cheque clearance

Hi,

I am aware of the rules regarding cheque clearance and what the Natwest website states for cheque clearing times, I was just wondering if anyone else with a Natwest Select Current account had recent experience of cheques funds being available in 3 days, as they used to ie: pay cheque in tomorrow, funds available Saturday?

    If you pay the cheque in before 3.30 tomorrow over the counter the funds "should" be available on Saturday.

    Do Natwest Select accounts get preferrential treatment then on cheque clearance?
    If you pay a cheque in on say Monday it is not available to draw against until Friday (with Lloyds) - the day you pay in does not count - then 3 working days clearing, available on 4th.
