which type of letter to use?

Hi
I've read the NEWBIES thread and also the main article on the website about private parking charges, and I understand basically what to do. I just want to check which of the standard letters are best to use in the first stage of the appeal direct to the parking company. The main article has some which are more legal sounding, and the one on the forum is quite different and a bit more stroppy! The one in the article talks about explaining mitigating reasons and your one says don't bother with this.
I just want to maximize my chances of winning the appeal and wondered which letter people have found to be most effective at getting the parking company to overturn the charge (before we get to the POPLA stage).
Thanks

use the stroppy template letter from the NEWBIES sticky thread
remove the "rant" part if you wish, leaving the rest alone0 -
Though I say so myself, the MSE article is pants. Did you notice the MSE article even gives away who was driving - stupid. Mitigation? don't make us laugh! But look how badly it's worded in the article ...'I didn't do this' and 'I did that' - DOH!!
If you are not a stroppy moo like me, remove my most ranting points from the NEWBIES example, as Redx says.
Which parking firm? Some are so easy to beat at POPLA it's like taking candy from a baby. Also try a complaint to the landowner/retailer, with a receipt or other proof of purchase and a rant about this harassment.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
