                    Hi,
First post. I have been in a battle with my bank for around 6 months trying to get my savings back out from a savings account.
I have encountered obstructive responses from them including non-returning of calls, missed appointments and broken promises of pay, net.
They say (at this juncture I will not disclose the bank as I just would like some advice/views please) that there was a problem with my account and that they were having to close it down. Simple transfer of my savings? No. There has been multiple excuses, needing to speak to other departments, and missed supposed deadlines for repayment.
On another note, I am also being delayed by the ombudsman considering an ongoing issue with money that was transferred erroneously (due to my fault this time) the ombudsman has been involved since Nov/Dec and no resolution to date.
Does anyone have any similar experiences to guide me?
As I said earlier I am wishing to not divulge the bank's name for now, I hope for a resolution soon.
Thanks

Why can't you disclose the name of the bank?
Is the ombudsman issue related to the same bank and bank account, or even the same bank but another account?0

Banks usually have reasons for doing things. Your post is very vague so i don't know exactly what responses you expect ?
As for the FOS, they'll respond when they're ready, 3 months is a very short time as far as the FOS goes. My sister in laws FOS query took nearly 3 years.0

            - A formal complaint, then FOS.

OR- A Letter Befor Action, then Small Claims Court

The latter option can be faster if FOS really are incapable of doing their job and drag their feet for months.0
