Managing mortgages online

Just wondering what banks allow you to manage your mortgage payments online.
Currently with first direct, who are great, but don't have an online mortgage facility.
About to re-mortgage due to buying a new property and was wondering who offered the service and what one was the best.
Cheers

Please be aware you are looking for mortgage products for homemovers, not remortgage products.
Those are for borrowers not moving home using a new mortgage with a new lender to repay the old one,I am a mortgage broker. We are with Barclays and have an offset mortgage and the banking APP on the smartphone.
So I can check balance, move money around accounts, offset ISA but we cannot change the mortgage payment online.
Need to ring the mortgage centre for that.0 -

Thanks...
... but doesn't answer my question.0 -
Yes, unfortunately, being able to "manage a mortgage online" isn't one of the criteria we are often given when recommending a product.
It's usually rate, fees, penalties, how much can I borrow etc.
Sorry, I saw the incorrect use of the word remortgage for a homemover and thought I'd offer other help.

No offence OP, as I see you have thanked Kingstreet albeit his 2nd post, but I have seen a few posts today, where people are really taking the professional help on here for granted and I just wonder where we would all be if we had only ourselves to confer with, about these matters and could offer only our own (personal details omitted) personal experiences.
Their input is knowledgeable, free and also useful for others reading the post/thread.
Please be respectful and encourage others to do the same when necessary.
They are a thick skinned lot (time served dealing with lenders etc) and i'm sure they can ride this sort of thing, but it needs to be said.0 -
What exactly do you want to "manage"? Most mortgages are long term, regular payments, nothing really to change. Do you want to vary overpayments or something?:heartpuls Mrs Marleyboy :heartpuls

Wouldn't be a priority of mine as a customer either.0 -
I went with Nationwide and stuck with them through retention products because I liked their website. Ok the BMR of 2%+base helped sway that decision too.0

We're currently with Chelteham & Glouster, they don't do online mortgage accounts. We used to be with Halifax and they did.I love a bargain. Now mortgage and debt free. hurray!!:smileyhea0

Good post. Am also with first direct for my mortgage and would like some online facilities in relation to it.
In this day and age you'd think that you'd be able to view an updated balance after each payment has been made.
And In the past year or so I have made a few one off overpayments and also set up a regular overpayment.... But was Unable to do either of these online. I may well want to amend my regular overpayment soon but needless to say will have to do that over the phone too!
Not the end of the works of course, but it does seem that mortgages are lagging behind when it comes to online facilities - and it would be interesting to know which lenders are leading the way in that respect.0
