Section 75 for Credit Card Purchase through ebay?

Hi,
Wondering if someone could help me?
I purchased some shoes online and paid by Credit Card through PayPal.
The total purchase price was £107.31.
I cancelled the order before dispatch and then had to chase the company for the refund.
They have refunded me (not actually got the money yet) £105.07, and say the other £2.24 is the Credit Card fee which they cannot refund and I need to go through ebay to get this.
Now to me this sounds like a load of tosh.
Many thanks in advance,
Tom

What does s75 have to do with this?
Ignoring the fact that it doesn't apply because of PP in the middle and because the company hasn't breached the contract, do you mean using it for claiming £2.24?
If it was PP that charged you the fee then why do you think that it's the company that has to refund it. Ask PP (or ebay?).0 -
Sorry, the title is wrong. I didn't purchase through ebay, it was through the website https://www.outdoorlook.co.uk.
And I didn't mean Section 75 either (sorry!) - I suppose I'm talking about my right to Cancel.
As far as I am aware, If I cancel an order before it's dispatched, then I should be able to claim a full refund.
I've gotten refunds for goods purchased by CC through PP before, and never had to go to PP to get back the "Credit Card Fee".0 -
If the merchant does it as a refund in PayPal then the fees are refunded to them. If they do it as a transfer to you instead of a refund then the fees stand as its two separate transactions. Sounds like they dont know how to use PayPal properly.0

Yes, that was what I was expecting to happen, and has been my experience in the past.
I guess this is a lesson in not using the cheapest website to buy products.0 -
Say you've spoken to PayPal and they advise that if the merchant does a refund the fees will be refunded to them so they can reverse the full transaction and that if they dont know how to do this that PayPal said they should contact them for instructions.0

depends if its paypal mechant account, and yes there is a difference between the epos accountsDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0
