Cambridge - Cheap electrical shop?
I've just moved to a village outside Cambridge, and the house we've bought is a renovation project with all its original 1960s features in the kitchen. We're estimating building time of about six months, but until then, we have no way of cooking except the microwave. As much as I'm enjoying sampling all the local takeaways and working my way through the microwave meals from the supermarkets, this cannot go on - I need a temporary cooker. eBay, Gumtree and the local ads have nothing suitable.
Does anyone know of any cheap electrical shops around Cambridge? When I lived in Glasgow, Comet had a "Scratch and Dent" shop where customer returns were sold at silly reductions. I'm hoping for something similar around here.

You may say 'I doubt it', but it's worth going through the John Lewis return sheets in the Grand Arcade Branch.
They CAN be haggled too[although don't say I said so:-)]

Have you consider portable induction hob and halogen oven for cooking?
