Premium Bonds.... Miss sold!

I just had a really bizarre telephone conversation about being miss sold Premium Bonds.
Firstly I was informed I was speaking to the Department of Budget Spending Analysis. Clearly an Indian call centre. I was informed my premium bonds had been miss sold to me and I was due a refund. I then asked the lady to reconfirm who she was, I also asked if the department was government run and how is it possible to be miss sold premium bonds. I clearly took the lady of her script card, as she then went onto tell me the bank I had brought them through had miss sold them and asked if I pay a fee of £5 or so a month to have the account. I informed the lady that that is impossible as you do not purchase premium bonds via a bank, I told her to go have a google of what premium bonds are. I also pointed out I do not have an account I pay a monthly charge for and to remove my details.
Clearly this is some sort of scam or data collection process. I thought I'd post it here to make other aware and I guess to reassure myself I have not been miss sold premium bonds!

Get some shares registered into your own name, preferably one of the privatised utilities most held by small investors, then you too can have "Hi John, this is Sam calling from New York.." calls and hours of amusement.0 -
