Hello, in our new house we have inherited a standard oven and a Neff oven,grill, microwave combination oven.
The microwave goes up to 1000 but seems very slow to heat - a mug of milk after five minutes is barely the right temperature to drink. It takes about ten to cook a few (two portions) of green veg such as leeks
I am wondering if the microwave is not performing as it should or whether it is simply a case of these combined ovens not being very efficient as microwaves. There is no turntable, you are advised to turn the cooking container at least once or twice.
I don't want to pay for a call out just to find that the appliance is as good as it gets and, in any case, it may work out cheaper simply to buy a separate free standing microwave.
The oven part of the appliance works perfectly.
Can anyone who has this type of appliance comment please?

Does the interior of the microwave have a stainless steel finish or enamelled. The ones with the enamelled finish is less efficient.

Even so, 10 minutes doesnt sound right and its worth checking if your microwave is working properly.

Your microwave might have a sticker on the frame showing a cup/glass with a spoon in it. If so, its a good idea place a spoon in the cup or glass of liquid you are heating. It serves as a stirrer and speeds up heating.
