Regular all-nighters playing Final Fantasy XI Online, often extending into double all-nighters if it was the weekend (Friday evening through to Sunday evening stopping only for toilet and food breaks). The downside to having a lot of online 'friends' situated all across Europe and the other side of the Atlantic...There was always someone wanting me to do things with them!
For non-online games probably Metal Gear Solid when it came out on the original Playstation. I'd stay up playing that till the sun came up when I first got into playing it.
These days midnight is late enough as I'm getting too old and sensible to stay up much later!0 -
I've played whole nights through when the original WoW came out, 40-man raiding Molton Core and a few other select dungeons.
Those were the days!!
Despite being 30 and a father/husband I still pine for the good old daysThinking critically since 1996....0 -
Back in the day (teens) I would often play games overnight until 6-7am, go to bed for a bit, then have to get up for school very shortly after. I did most of my sleeping at school, fresh for a new night of gaming.
Is it any wonder I have insomniac issues to this day !0 -
When I was a teenager and in my earlier 20's, I used to take my Amiga up to my mates house.
We used to have gaming sessions, sometimes until 4 or 5 in the morning, as his mum, worked night shifts. Quite often, I would then have to go home, get showered and off to work, with no sleep.
Nowadays as a 44 year old, I extremely rarely play till late, if I'm up a 4.30 in the morning. I work shifts though, so if I'm late turn, occasionally I'm still up playing at 1 or 2 in the morning.0 -
i spent many nights playing guild wars up until even mid day when i was in a top 10 GvG guild as most of my guild mates were american.
Nowadays i spend a 1-2 nights a week up until 3-4am playing Call of duty with my GF on the xbox0 -
I'm in my early 30's now and went to my first LAN event last year for PC gamers.
Most of us played until silly o clock...11am etc.All your base are belong to us.0 -
As with most others, when I was younger I pulled more all nighters than I would care to admit to, only going to bed the next morning when I was pretty much physically unable to stay awake.
Nowadays it's rare that I go to bed much past midnight for any reason, but that's just what happens when your career and family become more important than computer games."MIND IF I USE YOUR PHONE? IF WORD GETS OUT THATI'M MISSING FIVE HUNDRED GIRLS WILL KILL THEMSELVES."0 -
Feeling old here - but all nighters playing MUD (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MUD1) were a regular event back in the day mostly because it only started at 2am. In theory it was supposed to be switched off at 7 although that didn't always happen.0

Difficult one really to answer, I had 3 weeks off from work in January, saved my leave for it. I slept in day and up all night.
A normal day/night I think was about until 1:30am it was GTA Online.0 -

Thank you.
It's not only me who sometimes feels like this thenMaybe we should abandon this, one of our hobbies?
