confused!

Hi,
Please help I'm so confused with all the parking fine info despite reading the guides and some forum posts!
I got a parking charge notice from g24 for parking in a free supermarket carpark for longer than the 2hrs stated. I was 21 minutes over. Basically I had my baby with me and as I was leaving she needed to be fed so we were late leaving the car park. There were lots of other space so we weren't preventing anyone else parking.
I read the mse guide and it said to appeal and so I did on the grounds that the charge of £100 was disproportionate to loss and that I had mitigating circumstances because of feeding my baby. Anyway they replied the next day rejecting it but not really addressing the appeal grounds.
Reading the forums now I'm confused as it seems I may have done wrong appealing? I used a template letter from the forum. Do I now have to appeal to the ICL or pay up?
Thanks in advance for the help, I'm sorry as I'm guessing this has been asked before but different posts seem conflicting!

Pay up, hang on free car park, loss to owner erm nothing, so you could give them double that! Never pay these scammers. They are IPC members and use a skippy the bush kangaroo appeal system. Wait for more advice, I would ignore all but a genuine LBC or court papers.0

You did the correct thing appealing to G24. Now you should just ignore them. They have never done court and the letters will eventually dry up."The darkest places in hell are reserved for those who maintain their neutrality in times of moral crisis." - Dante Alighieri0

Complain to the supermarket. As you are a mother feeding a young baby there is need for the landowner to provide adjustments for you. This is all part of the Equality Act 2010, under which you could sue the landowner - minimum indicative payment to you would be £500.
Please have a read of the Act and incorporate the appropriate references into your complaint letter. You need to be in a position of dishing as much hassle out as you are taking in from G24! So go for G24's employers (the supermarket or the actual landowners) - make them realise just what this outfit is doing to their customers (which of course, you will be telling them that you are now a former customer!).
This needn't be a one-sided show. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
