Is this a good deal (first time PCP purchase)

I was wondering if you can help me. I am currently looking at getting a new car Fiesta 1.25 Zetec, Black with spare wheel. I've never brought a new car before so very unsure.

Do you think this is a good deal?

Deposit/P'X £1000
Charge for credit: £609.88
Balance of amount payable: £8,741.88
24 payments £108.87
Optional final payment £6,109
Total amount payable £10,691
APR 4.3%

Sounds like a good offer. What dealer did you get the quote from?
  • Hang on:

    £10062-£1950 = £8112.

    £8112 + £609.88 = £8721.88

Looks like you've lost £20 there, your post says £8741.88

    Not much, but it's there.
  • Sorry that £20 has been accounted for i just didn't add it in, its part of the cost of them setting up the finance agreement and something else. Sorry.

That looks like a good deal, looking online the 1.25 zetec 3dr are about £13000, add in £500 for the paint and £100 for the wheel, less your £1700 discount is £11,900, so you've negotiated £1850 off it, well done. I take it this is new and not pre reg etc?

You have finance deposit and deposit/px'd are there both paid by you?

I think Ford pay the £950 finance deposit.
  • The £1k deposit was from me and £950 was added by the finance company.

Basically, you are paying £3612 for two years' ownership of the Fiesta, or £1800 a year.

    It's a reasonable deal, I would say.

Worth getting a quote on the Ecoboost, as it's free to tax, slightly more economical and better future values.
Through a broker they are around £10,700.
