We have made a definite decision that we are going to stay in villas (5 in each) and we'll book flights etc separately.
One final question-we are planning on going 2nd week in July 2016, are we best to book the flights when they are first released? Are prices cheaper when the flights are first available?
Thanks again everyone for all your help
We've always booked as soon as the flights are available. With so many of you travelling, it would be a risk to leave it too late. Last time we went, we booked 12 months in advance, paid about £890 each for direct flights from Virgin. By the time we travelled, they were over £1100 each. Indirect flights will be cheaper.0 -
If you shop at Tesco's think about converting to Virgin Atlantic miles, assuming they are a viable option.
We have 4 flights this August, saved us a fortune0 -
Hi there, just seen your thread and incase you haven't yet booked, think its worth considering non-disney hotel. Went out last year having done masses of research and planning on various websites. Check out tripadvisor orlando forum. Users share lots of really useful information about accommodation, disney tickets and parks, eating out etc.
We stayed at Hilton Grand Vacations on I-Drive and had a wonderful 2 bedroom apartment 9 & they do 3 bedroom apartments as well).
I had looked at staying at the parks but having read reviews it could take over 45 mins from Disney accommodation to the parks as the transport stops and pickups at lots of other Disney hotels along the way. Personally I felt the only real advantage of staying at Disney hotels was that transportation to parks is included in the cost of your accommodation and you get the extra magic hours. But consider if you would really get up early just to get to parks for 8.00am. You'd be better off looking at looking at Fast Pass and booking rides in advance.
Hope this helps but think its good to book as early as you can and I too have to go in school hols and went in August. People advised against it and talked about crowds and weather. Really not an issue if you go prepared and plan and research well. Hope this helps.0
