    No i'm not a trade customer just retail :)

    I agree with the others that it's an unreasonable charge. The problem is getting the seller to listen! You can quote the regs to them but if they still don't budge it's ultimately going to mean small claims court which may not be viable for a small amount.

    Try speaking to Trading Standards in the area where the seller is based.

    Yes that's my feeling too! It's the principle of the matter and it's around £50 so not a tiny amount. I would much rather avoid the palaver of small claims court. Hopefully they will see reason, am waiting for a response and will update when I hear from them.

    Thanks for the tip about trading standards, I may well do that too :)
