    Good morning Amershall

Yes the loan was repaid early when the property that it was secured upon was sold. How would this affect a claim?

It wouldn't really but you can use it in your argument, it would just show that after a rebate, the rest would have been repaid in the settlement, this, in my opinion, is not fair, a win win for the company.

Did the PPI end before the loan?, if it did, this is another reason for mis sell with this type of loan.

Amershall unfortunately the paperwork relating to the loan has been mislaid so we are unsure when it would be paid off. In layman's terms, what do we exactly need to say to FSCS when we call?

Use the Single Premium and if your partner had life insurance, a good sick package from work use these as reasons too.

Well further to this post last year, my husband completed an online form with Financial Services Ombudsman but has not heard anything since. What is the next step? Should we have heard something by now?

You need to contact them, especially as they have not acknowledged the complaint.
    Phone them.
