2 google mail addresses

I've used a Google mail account for a number of years, I also have an email address from Heart Internet which is linked to that gmail account (sorry I don't know all the correct terminology).
So I use gmail to get all my emails.
My wife uses my google account as her home page which I have all my football, newspaper tabs on etc.
I was thinking of creating a google account for her, do you think if she has the Heart Internet email also on her account it would cause any conflict with each account?
Thanks

A google homepage is entirely different from a Gmail account.
If her heart accont (whatever that is) goes to your Email then her heart emails will still go to your account unless she (or you) change the preferences for the heart account.
You can have as many gmail accounts as you like; I have one for work related stuff, one for family and close friends and another I use to sign up to websites so that's where any spam would go. I also have a separate one for my ebay just in case it becomes a main source of income making it easier to deal with anything fiscal such as Tax.0 -
She uses my google account to check our emails via my gmail which is set to receive emails from a Heart internet account, this is her small business email address
I would like to set her own google account with gmail, set the same to receive the same emails as I can get, but I am worried they may conflictno debts0 -
Yes, it's possible to do, but you do hit a couple of subtle problems with IMAP sync of read emails if the heart server is polled by the gmail server (as opposed to automatic forwarding from the heart server)0

Not sure if I understand all that, are you saying if I opened up an email on my gmail it may not show on the 2nd gmail?no debts0 -
It means if you open an email using one method, it'll update on any other to show it as being read there too.
I have about 17 different gmail accounts with no problem.0 -

That all depends on how it is set up, and the nuances of that are beyond a tutorial in a forum post, but means if you read the email in one gmail account, it'll sync as 'read'. This means your wife wouldn't know she had new mail if you'd read it first in your account (but she could still open it and read it if you told her about it).
I have to say this sounds like a good chance to step back and look at everything afresh - semi-shared email accounts and shared 'pages' and third party providers - this could be a lot simpler if you both just have your own gmail accounts and she sets up her own page thing. I'd take this opportunity to clarify things, as the more complex, the more likely it is to go wrong one day, so the more likely to lose a business email, ultimately!0 -
Are you using IMAP... or are you just forwarding emails from your business domain email address?
If you're just forwarding emails - Heart Internet lets you forward from one email address to up to 10 different email addresses (so forwarding to 2 gmail accounts wouldn't be a problem).
But it seems you can only forward 'catchall' emails to one account.
Here's a vid that shows how to set it up: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hmb7Bj5LPJg0
