Car insurance feel conned

Hi, Found great price for my car insurance on confused.com with reputable insurer. Confused.com showed all compulsory excess=£0 and voluntary excess=£0. Proceed to take the insurance to find:
My name £0 excess
Voluntary vehicle damage £250
Compulsory vehicle damage £0
Fire £100
Theft £250
Windscreen £100
All vehicle excesses are cumulative.
Phoned insurance company and girl on phone couldn't explain in plain english to me - still totally confused.com.
Surely first screen showing £0s should be matched in insurer's website in details of policy? In what circumstances do the £0s apply? Does anyone know? :mad:If I have an accident or my car is stolen it looks like I pay first £250, do I?
I think the £0s advertised may constitute false selling. If I'm selecting a policy with £0 excesses then how can insurance co get away with then charging me excesses (the Windscreen excess I understand as that is always separate)??

It isn't miss selling because as yet, you haven't bought it.
Its just an error on the first page but if you go further in, you do have the choice to
check the correct prices and either buy or reject.
That's my take on it anyway.....make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -

Perhaps ask at the correct forums but not sure what you are after.ally.0 -
Use a broker. Not only do they look for the best deal they will pull your !!! out of the !!!! if there's a problem.
They will also explain things in ways you'll understand.
I've been with mine for 20 years and they're brill!0
