Problem ex-husband

Hi,
Started seeing a girl who last year split with her husband. No divorce yet, 3yr old kid.
Recently he has been showing up at her work and sometimes high/drunk at her front door (they used to live together).
Please advise on who would be the correct people for her to contact, it's verging on police involvement but there must be a "warning" authority too? He needs a reality check to stop him escalating to something worth arrest.
Thanks for your time.

Yes, Police. They may advise her to keep a diary record of what's happening. The Police can issue warnings and anti-harrassment orders, etc, I think?0
-
Can't issue orders, that's courts job. But certainly warnings.
How long ago was the split? Not justifying his behaviour, but long term ud think he'd calm it down.0 -
If he turns up at the front door drunk or high, she should call the police immediately, it's harassment.0

Thanks, I will pass the advice on, she will keep a record and will call the police next time he shows up uninvited.0

and advise her to make sure her doors and windows are secure and she does NOT open the door to him! just ring the police straight away.0

Hi,
did she change the locks or get keys off him when they split?0 -
Just checking he isn't an owner or part-owner of the property?0
-
Even if he is part owner, turning up drunk/high is still harassment.0

Nope because mother-in-law still lives there. Awkward I know.[Deleted User] wrote:Hi,
