eBay Scam?

As part of my effort to clear my debt I had an eBay blitz this weekend. I listed my phone and received this message today:

Hello seller,i am interested in the immediate purchase of this item, ill be paying you £400 for the total amount including shipping cost to my husband in abroad (France). Please kindly get back to me with your full name and email as soon as you accept my offer so that i can pay you via paypal. Thanks and hope to hear from you soon. Regards. Sharon (tequlia_shots@yahoo.com).

Is it a con? I suspect it is. I thought these cons usually requested shipment to Africa or further afield than France at least.

Hmmmm - to be honest I am very dubious of anything like this.

If someone wants to 'buy it now' they usually email and ask you first if you would be interested in doing a 'Buy It Now' or ending the auction.

    Personally I wouldn't touch this.

    ITS A CON!!

I sell on ebay and most of us get these on a regular basis. They usually try and tempt you with a good price and OTT postage. What you get is a fake paypal reciept or other fake stuff that makes it look like they have paid. They normally target mobile phones or other small items of fairly high value.

They usually ask you to post it to West Africa or another country.

They have now started using hijacked accounts so the bids look genuine enough.

    Report it to ebay ASAP.
