UKPC Parking Ticket help please disabled!

Hello all - my first post.
I need some advice please as I find myself with a parking in a disabled bay ticket even though I have a valid disabled badge!
Hi - I went to Merry Hill one day with my son and we found a place, pulled in and went to the shop. When I returned I noticed I had been ticketed. Apparently I had pulled into the place without a valid disabled badge displayed. This is my first ever parking ticket and I was to say the least gob smacked.
So I decided to work out just why I hadn't displayed it and when I looked I realised there is no sign, the badge on the floor is 80% covered in black so basically not visable, and the only sign on the wall is below bonnet height and to the left of the car so you do not see it when you pull into the space and when you have already pulled into the place you still cannot see it. So there basically is my reason, I never knew I was in a disabled parking place.
So I returned with my camera and videoed the space, I then filled in the online appeal form thinking I won't hear from them surely.
Today I get my reply and they think I should have to pay but as I do have a valid badge they will accept £15!!!!! What the hell is this! In my opinion I have been trapped, I have eveidence (evidence they do not want to see as they only accept ONE image as proof) I got round this by making a montage of all the photo angles. Surely there should be laws covering how the bay should be marked.
Any advice of how to proceed short of spraying 'this is a parking trap' on the wall!!

To post pictures and scans of the PCN, upload them to a web hosting site such as Tinypic or Photobucket, then post the link on this thread but change http to hxxp. Someone here will then change it for you so everyone can see them. (Newbies can't post links.)I married my cousin. UKPC are members of the BPA and their code of practice says they musn't ticket people with a blue badge. As soon as the parking company are aware that you have a BB, they should cancel but usually won't. Since you have informed them of this they are in breach of the BPA CoP so complain to the BPA about this.
In any case the BB scheme does not apply on private land so what we have here is a breach of the Equality Act 2010 as soon as they are aware someone in the car had a disability. Again, the parking company will ignore this.
All is not lost. You should have been given a PoPLA code with your rejection so use this along with the How to Win at POPLA section of the NEWBIES thread at the top of the main page.I married my cousin. looks like you have not read the blue booklet that came with your badge, it clearly states that its not valid on private land
follow the advice in the above post0 -
YES! 30 minutes later I find my post -
So I have had a reply, they think they have it all covered and I have to pay!
"But as you do hold a valid disabled badge we will accept £15" - So what is this? do these people just make up figures? and can I start charging to defend myself from these shisters!
I wonder if I can post my video up?
Lets See, a random image....err
X
nope, I cannot explain my chances here because the administration cannot let me show you video to support my case! this site is therefore useless!
How do other people post any visual evidence? I'm sitting here trying to work out how I would use this site bearing in mind most people who come to sites for help are first timers,
do I come here in the event I may need it?
or perhaps I should hang around until I've posted however many posts it takes before I qualify......
I should never have come here,0 -
you are not permitted to attach files here - period
how do others do it ?
same as you were told earlier
use tinypic or photobucket for still images
how do you post videos ?
I assume you have heard of YOUTUBE ?
then add a dead link to the content you wish to show
ie:- change the link from http to hxxp when you post it on here
this is not a forum issue, its about you using the internet sites to the best of each ones abilities
post text on here
post pics on tinypic or photobucket
post videos on YOUTUBE
if they gave you a popla code, use it , appeal to popla on not a gpeol , no contract and poor signage (popla website)
complain to the BPA about being ticketed when you are a BB holder (bpa website , s clark email)
complain to the government on the new survey with your actual complaint etc

unfortunately, YOU are not using all those different sites to their best advantage0 -

I have no idea how to upload video images and I've been a member on this site for about ten years. However, I have already explained how to upload still pictures. Perhaps you can use Windows Movie Maker where you can grab stills from your video, then upload them here.
I'm not sure why you are blaming this site for not being able to view video. Put it in a format we can see and, well, we will be able to see it. Please don't expect the regulars here to do the legwork for you. We will help you however we can, but we need YOU to help us to help you.I married my cousin. I should never have come here,
There is a note on all newbies posts that ID them as such and ask that the are given a chance and treated nicely. Perhaps you could return the courtesy and avoid taking what are your own frustrations out a site/people who are using their own time and effort to give you some vary valuable advice.
You don't need pictures or videos here (we aren't UKPC or POPLA), we just need a cleat explanation of the events.0 -
Go back to Merry Hill and play Merry Hell with the shop / car park owner tell them that unless they get their agent to cancel the charge you may consider action against them for harassment and a breach of the equalities act.
Show the car park owner(s)/the shop your disabled badge and tell them that you expect them to call their agents and cancel this charge with mediate effect. From the Plain Language Commission:
"The BPA has surely become one of the most socially dangerous organisations in the UK"0
