Long story short I had a catalogue account with very which I fell behind on stupidly and defaulted for 387 pounds. I am in a much better financial situation now and cleared the balance months ago. The thing is I'm wanting to apply for a bank loan for a car and am worried it will really affect it. Has anyone had any luck grovelling to the CEO to try and get it removed? Thanks in advance.

That lot are known for being unhelpful, so very unlikely.
Only hope is if it's unfair or inaccurate in some way.:beer:0 -
Yes - they removed 1 for me just recently.
Good luck!0 -
Yes , i just had one removed last month , my payment was with the communications ombudsman ( useless) and while this was happening 02 sold what i though was a dispute to Lowell , when i explained everything they closed the account and removed the default ... They were very good to be fair . but i sent them my side of the story and i was seriously delighted it was removed .. I guess admitting the default was accurate could go against you as they legally must record payment history they usually only consider removal if the default was inaccurate so if the default was correct then you could write to the CEO and ask them to reconsider ... Good luck , i know how awful this is0
