    My uncle used to make a good living bringing cars from the north to london for sale.

    It doesn't always apply though. My last two cars (both Toyota) came from Derbyshire and Essex.

    True.

    There are many traders that buy cars in one area and sell in another.

    Some simply buy at a one branch of BCA then get it transported to another and sell, even if your margin is 5/10% it all adds up.
